If you are a busy mother like me, then you spend a lot of time driving. To work, school, music lessons, sports practice, friends houses, birthday parties, the list is endless. If you are reading this, you know!
I have found it really handy to always keep some healthy snacks in the car. I always have some dried apricots, raisins and almonds in little individual plastic containers, good because don't spoil. A few bananas and apples are easy to throw in at the last minute too. Always have some water in the car too.
It doesn't have to be a huge feast, just enough to tide hungry tummies over. When people are hungry, they get grumpy (including me!) Keeping a healthy snack in the car, tides the hungry ones over and makes it a pleasanter journey for every one. You will also be much less tempted to get take away food on the run, and save your money and health too!
